Good day all of you wonderful Ellinger's fans. Bretton Scott here, the new owner of Ellingers Agatized Wood in Sheboygan, WI. I thought I would take a minute to update everyone on what's going on in the bowl factory and other exciting things we have going on in the factory. January and February we halted on production, to take tender, loving, sweet care of our precious 1950's machines that make our bowls. These machines were are very, very, very old and tired when I purchased the factory. Oil spewing out, dust and grime all over the place, noises coming from who knows where (also, remind me to tell you about the ghosts that haunt this factory) Corey, Jehnna, and myself have been busy busy, re organizing and restructuring from the INSIDE OUT! We start the day around 6:30 am (depending on the previous evening's martinis) and work well into the night. It's cold here in Wisconsin, and I always said the perfect time of year to buckle down and WORK WORK WORK! In two months exactly, we went from three old exploding machines, to three very well, highly functioning machines. I'm very proud of our team, and I;m greatly for all of you who have sent me such kind letters, words of encouragement, and just good old fashioned moral support. I really needed it. I am starting a new artisan color line, turning our bowls back into what the original owner, WALT ELLINGER, I believe had wanted. Colors, textures, swirls, patterns, and more. My latest is a slew of our famous 4 quart mixing bowl called the NUMBER 23 in vibrant colors and Agatized swirled. Did you know the company is called Agatized, referring to the AGATE, found along the coast of Lake Superior along the Wisconsin/Minnesota border!?
We are also setting up our television production studio, based right here in Sheboygan, WI, where we will be filming The BRETTONBUTTERED Experience, a cooking and lifestyle show where we will film a variety of farm visits. You can check out these videos on BrettonButtered on Youtube, or BrettonScott, as well as Ellingers Youtube and Ellingersagatized. Meanwhile, we're making bowls, and enjoying the last couple months of the Wisconsin winter! Stay tuned and thank you for your support!
Anymore updates? I was at an Estate Sale and saw your beautiful bowls...didn't get them at the sale...someone else did. Are you in business? Or not?
